Making his first start of 2010, Jayport Johnnykash received some racing luck en route to the winners circle on May 11 at Georgian Downs

With Dan Clements at the controls, ‘Johnny’ was stalking the leaders from the second over position when both the pacesetter and first over challenger broke stride. Johnny inherited the lead and trotted to a 1:59.4 two-length win to kick off 2010.

Forever A Winner At Sarnia

Jayport Forever notched her second win of the year after a gritty performance over less than ideal conditions at Hiawatha Horse Park on Saturday, May 8.

With trainer Brent Belore at the lines, ‘Forever’ became a 13-time winner with a dominant 2:01 win over a track rated Good and off two seconds. It was win number 13 for the Balanced Image – Jayport Ellie May six-year-old homebred.

First Win For Forever in 2010

In her usual first up and grinding style, Jayport Forever picked up her first win of 2010 on January 15 at Flamboro Downs.

With trainer Brent Belore at the lines, the co-favourite was a comfortable winner in 2:01.4. It was win number 12 for the Balanced Image – Jayport Ellie May six-year-old homebred.

On Saturday night at Georgian Downs, Jayport Johnnykash (Kadabra-Kash Echo) cruised to his third straight victory and stepped to a new lifetime mark.

In rein to driver Dan Clements, Johnny was on the front through splits of :28.3, 59.1 and 1:28.3 before tripping the timer in 1:59.3.

Tom Porchak owns the sibling to Susies Magic and Jayportcashforlife, giving broodmare Kash Echo her third sub-2:00 performer.

Johnnykash Repeats At Georgian

Jayport Johnnykash and driver Dan Clements returned after a one week rest to repeat victory in the $8,500 conditioned trotting class at Georgian Downs.

‘Johnny’ was never threatened through fractions of :29, 1:00.3 and 1:30.4 before coasting home to a near four-length win in a lifetime best 2:01.1.

With a wire to wire win on November 6 at Georgian Downs, Jayport Johnnykash notched his maiden-breaking win in 2:01.4.

In rein to Dan Clements, ‘Johnny’ cut all the fractions in his $8,500 contest and took a mark of 2:01.4 in the process.

30 For Jayport Express

In his first start for trainer Dave Burgess, Jayport Express and driver Gord Brown were victorious over a group of conditioned rivals on October 6 at Kawartha Downs.

The nine-year-old Yentls Image gelding now has 30 lifetime wins and sits just shy of $350,000 in lifetime earnings. Jayport Express is the second richest Jayport-bred horse, trailing only Jayport Worthy Vic.

Abbey Road C Passes $2 Million At Xtreme

Abbey Road C (Incredible Abe-Jayport Whimsey) became just the sixth Canadian-sired trotter to surpass $2 million in lifetime earnings with an extremely dominant 2:29.3 win in the $20,000 Xtreme Rewind 1-1/4 mile trot as part of Xtreme Horsepower night at Georgian Downs.

The 10-year-old gelding was on top at every call for trainer/driver Keith Jones and scored his 63rd victory by open lengths to join the select company of Peaceful Way, Glorys Comet, Goodtimes, JM Vangogh and Arch Madness in the double millionaire club.

New Mark For Jayport Forever

With trainer Brent Belore in the bike, Jayport Forever (Balanced Image–Jayport Ellie May) lowered her mark to 1:59.4 at Grand River Raceway.

The five-year-old trotting mare was on top by the three-quarters mark and kicked away by over four lengths for her third win in 10 outings this year and 10th lifetime.

Jayport Sweetheart Destroys Dresden Foes

Jayport Sweetheart (Balanced Image–Jayport Ellie May) earned her first victory of the year in four starts at Dresden Raceway after making the lead at the half and drawing away by 11 lengths. Phil Belore worked out the winning trip aboard the seven-year-old trotting mare, who stopped the clock in 2:01.3.

Jayport Sweetheart, a winner of 23 races lifetime, hangs her harness in the Brent Belore stable.
